Position Overview
Apogee Consulting is seeking a Mechanical Designer II to create new and effective design solutions that improve our users' and clients' lives. The designer will collaborate with project engineers and other disciplines to create appealing and user-friendly designs.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and sketch mechanical and plumbing systems, including ductwork, piping, sanitary systems, domestic water, and medical gas.
Design and analyze plumbing, ductwork, sanitary, medical, compressed air, natural gas, and water heating systems.
Develop and analyze design concepts with engineers.
Determine design feasibility based on safety, function, and serviceability.
Use Revit software for comprehensive drawings, plans, and sketches.
Create construction documentation and manage submission processes.
Collaborate with different disciplines to achieve design integration.
Visit sites and conduct field research.
Optimize routing and system size.
Demonstrate expertise in CAD software.

Qualifications
Health care experience essential.
ABET‑accredited engineering bachelor’s degree.
Working toward professional license (PE) after passing the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam.
Over 4 years of experience as a mechanical designer.
Computer skills: Revit, AutoCAD MEP, MS Office, Trane TOPSS, Trace 3D.
Travel Up to 10% depending on project.
