
Senior Field Service Representative - Philadelphia

Job Summary
Schneider Electric hires a U.S. Field Service Representative to perform assembly, startup, diagnostic, repair, and preventive maintenance on company and third‑party equipment for power distribution and critical power infrastructure. The role is site‑based with occasional overtime and may include regional travel.
Key Responsibilities
Pre‑site, startup, repair, preventive maintenance, and field modification of equipment
Problem solve with customers, electricians, sales partners, technical support, and District Service teams
Complete field service reports, expense reports, preventive maintenance and startup data sheets
Work with Manager or Regional Service Director to resolve complex escalated issues
Continuously learn and train on various products in the field and classroom
Travel throughout the region for local or countrywide customer support, including overnight travel by vehicle or air
Assist senior technicians and support Project Management on larger system start‑ups
Collaborate with larger teams of FSRs on higher complexity projects
Act on behalf of the District Service Manager to resolve operational issues
Required Qualifications
Associate’s degree, trade/vocational certification, military training or similar experience in electrical‑related disciplines
Ability to read blueprints/schematics
Strong understanding of AC and DC power principles and supply circuit components
2+ years of field service repair and customer service with UPS systems, power distribution and switchgear, ATS, power distribution units, or electrical/electro‑mechanical equipment
2+ years in field services or equivalent industry experience
Good safety practices and adherence to safety procedures (lock‑out/tag‑out, OSHA/NFPA‑70E)
Safe driving and vehicle operation skills
Skilled at utilizing test and diagnostic equipment
Experience reading and interpreting schematics, drawings, and operation manuals
Ability to write service reports, correspondence, procedures, and effectively present information to customers
Capacity for strenuous physical tasks, including bending, stooping, lifting up to 40 pounds, working outdoors in various environments, and standing for extended periods
Benefits Compensation range: $86,400 – $129,600 per year (base + short‑term incentive).
