Job Summary/Description:
You will lead a modern newsroom with a dual focus: ratings‑winning broadcast coverage and a high‑impact digital experience across web, mobile, streaming, social, and other platforms. You will drive audience growth by optimizing story formats for every screen with a strong digital focus, strengthening real‑time breaking‑news workflows, and using data to improve retention, recirculation, and community engagement.
Supervise reporters, anchors, videographers, and producers; review scripts and rundowns; and direct daily digital/news coverage across all shows and social media platforms. Lead the broadcast‑to‑digital publishing pipeline by overseeing the digital producer to post breaking news fast with video, maintain continuous coverage, and optimize web/mobile and social distribution to strengthen the overall audience experience.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Digital mastery (high emphasis): Audience growth strategy (SEO, social/video platforms, push alerts, newsletters), real‑time analytics use (Chartbeat/GA/Comscore), and strong understanding of OTT/streaming workflows + continuous news desk publishing.
Editorial leadership: Excellent news judgment, enterprise/investigations support, fairness/ethics, strong writing/headline skills, and coaching to elevate story structure for digital consumption.
Content production knowledge: Rundown systems (ENPS/iNews), digital CMS, live production basics, field workflows, and modern video formats (vertical, explainers, lives).
3+ years newsroom leadership (EP/Managing Editor/Asst ND), proven breaking‑news + special coverage execution across TV, web, app, OTT, and social.
