KRM Generational Wealth Advisors , a premier Northwestern Mutual Private Client Group practice, is expanding and currently seeking a Director of Operations to serve as the firm’s integrator – translating vision into execution, building team accountability, and developing the operational infrastructure that supports continued growth.
This role carries real leadership responsibility. You’ll develop emerging department leaders, own the meeting rhythm, and drive the day-to-day performance of the firm’s operational team.
Key job duties
People & Performance Lead and develop the firm’s operational team across departments Play an active role in developing second-line department leaders — many of whom are earlier in their leadership journey Own the performance management cycle: goal setting, reviews, and ongoing accountability Drive clarity on roles, expectations, and outcomes across departments Lead sourcing, hiring and onboarding for key operational positions Build a culture where ownership is the expectation
Operational Execution Maintain and improve systems, workflows, and processes across client service and planning functions Ensure operational consistency across the firm Identify and eliminate bottlenecks before they become larger problems Build infrastructure that scales with firm growth
Strategic Integration Serve as the integrator between firm vision and daily execution Translate partner priorities into actionable plans with clear owners and deadlines Give partners consistent visibility into operational health, team performance, and emerging issues Support organizational design as the firm grows
Meeting & Communication Rhythm Own the firm’s meeting cadence — team meetings, leadership meetings, one-on-ones — and ensure each drives clear outcomes Set agendas, document decisions, and close the loop on follow-through Keep leadership and team aligned across departments
Qualifications 5+ years of operations leadership experience, including developing emerging leaders into management roles Familiarity with EOS or similar operating frameworks Proven ability to drive team accountability and performance Strong facilitation and communication skills High organizational capability and consistent follow-through
