Senior Sql Database Administrator

Description: AgreeYa is a global Systems Integrator and is seeking an experienced, results-driven MS SQL Server DBA to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing SQL Server databases to ensure high availability, performance, and security. Job Responsibilities: Provide database platform-level support for MS SQL Server environments. Manage databases at the infrastructure level, including patching, upgrades, and participation in DR exercises. Monitor and troubleshoot SQL Server systems, quickly resolving infrastructure and production issues. Establish and maintain high availability and disaster recovery (HADR) solutions using technologies such as Always On and Mirroring. Coordinate and resolve database access requests, incidents, and compliance remediation tasks. Analyze and report on database operational performance against key metrics. Implement and maintain SQL maintenance jobs and backup/recovery strategies. Participate in database cloud migration (Azure PaaS & IaaS) initiatives. Required Skills & Experience: 7+ years of experience with SQL Server Technologies. 3+ years working specifically with MS SQL Server 2016 and 2017. Solid experience in performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimizing database systems. Experience supporting databases in production and non-production environments, including resolving deadlocks, blocking, memory, CPU, and I/O issues. Proficient in configuring and maintaining HADR solutions (Always On, Mirroring, Replication). Hands-on experience with Azure cloud migration for databases. Strong analytical and incident management skills in complex SQL Server environments. Education : Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
