Shift Availability
Evenings / Weekends
Limited day shifts
Minimum 4‑6 events per month
Compensation and Benefits
Rate of Pay: $18.50 / hour
Benefits (eligibility requirements apply): On‑job accident, off‑job accident, hospital indemnity, critical illness, identity theft protection, paid medical leave
Shuttle service offered to transport employees to and from designated parking locations to the Amphitheater
Location Downtown and Metro Grand Rapids, MI – event venues
Job Description / Responsibilities
Safety and wellbeing of patrons, guests, and performers
Hospitality security with all clients, guests, and co‑workers
Access control
Follow venue‑specific guidelines
Foot patrols
Success Criteria
Reliability – report for your shift on time, presentable, and in the prescribed uniform
Friendly personality – balance customer service expectations while maintaining client policies and enforcing rules
Follow company and client policies – read and interpret written post guidelines, follow procedures as outlined, ensure all tasks are completed throughout the shift
Use of de‑escalation techniques – defuse situations through effective communication tactics
Qualifications
At least 18 years old
High school diploma or GED
No felony convictions and able to pass a criminal background check in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Availability to work at minimum 4 events per month
Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
Physical requirements
Able to stand or walk for 4–8 hour shifts
Ready to respond to emergency situations
Able to work outdoors during operational hours
Able to hear conversations in noisy environments
Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
