Responsibilities Lead Commodity Strategy: Own and execute the long‑term strategic sourcing roadmap for the Interiors machining commodity, aligning with enterprise and SBU objectives.
Drive End‑to‑End Sourcing Execution: Lead the full sourcing lifecycle—from RFQ through contract award—including supplier selection, negotiation, and contract development (Cost‑Type, Incentive‑Based, Firm Fixed Price, etc.).
Supplier Engagement & Development: Identify and engage strategic suppliers early in the product lifecycle to support new business pursuits. Develop and maintain strong relationships across multiple key supplier accounts.
Performance & Risk Management: Ensure suppliers meet performance expectations across delivery, quality, and cost. Proactively develop and execute supplier risk and opportunity management plans.
Contracting & Governance: Develop Statements of Work (SOWs), lead bidder conferences, and ensure robust contracting practices aligned with company and regulatory requirements.
Cross‑Functional Leadership: Collaborate across engineering, operations, quality, and program management teams to drive alignment and execution in a highly matrixed environment.
Executive Communication & Project Leadership: Build and manage detailed project plans, lead regular reviews, and present updates to senior leadership, including SBU executives.
Team Leadership & Development: Build, lead, and mentor a team of machining commodity subject‑matter experts. Serve as a coach, escalation point, and mediator to enable high performance and engagement.
Required Qualifications University degree and a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of experience.
Ability to travel as required for the role – 20% anticipated.
Preferred Qualifications Supply chain experience within the aerospace industry or other highly regulated manufacturing environment.
Background in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
Strong understanding of machining commodities and manufacturing processes.
Experience managing complex supplier relationships and driving performance improvements.
Prior people‑leader experience within a cross‑functional, matrixed organization.
Experience influencing senior stakeholders and presenting to executive leadership.
Working knowledge of cost analysis, should‑cost modeling, and supplier financial evaluation.
Experience supporting new business pursuits and early supplier engagement strategies.

Salary Range: 157,200 USD – 298,800 USD
