Position ABB Motion Drive Products in New Berlin, WI is hiring an OEM Account Manager. This position reports to the OEM Account Management Leader.

Work Model The work model for this role can be remote in the United States.

Role and Responsibilities

Develop and execute a sales strategy to achieve profitable growth goals for assigned accounts by:

Understanding the key business drivers and interpreting the impact and opportunity for ABB

Developing and executing account plan and sales strategies in line with customer plans

Leading the implementation of the account plan and SoW growth actions

Maintaining a deep understanding of the account’s decision‑makers, processes, applications, product development plans, and the competitive market landscape

Maintain regular account summary reports for the assigned OEM accounts.

Drive sales activities and account plans through SFDC.

Interface with large End user/OEM accounts to ensure consistent global support at a local area to meet or exceed assigned sales budget.

Negotiate and make offers in accordance with company procedures.

Manage sales activities with emphasis on strategic profitable growth and predictable forecasting, providing input and recommendations for the current and future product pipeline based on customer needs.

Conduct contract negotiations with assigned OEM ensuring favorable terms and conditions while protecting the interests of our organization. Collaborate with operations, legal and finance teams to finalize agreements.

Qualifications for the Role

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred) and 8+ years of experience in sales/business development with variable speed drives, motors and automation solutions OR Associate’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred) and 10+ years of experience in sales/business development with variable frequency drives, motors and automation solutions.

Sound knowledge of OEMs, their revenue models and Go-to-Market strategies.

Understanding of customer needs and experience in customer interface.

Strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office platform and SFDC.

Proven track record in exceeding sales targets in competitive markets.

Negotiation and influencing skills, with a demonstrated ability to close high‑value deals.

Requires 50% travel and possession of a valid driver’s license.

Candidates must already have work authorization allowing them to work for ABB in the US.
