$17.50-$18 per hour | Full-Time

Job Summary Be the voice of exemplary service in our hospital café operations! As a

Call Center Representative , you’ll handle meal order intake, assist patients with dietary options, and ensure accuracy in every detail. You’ll use your menu knowledge to guide selections, provide courteous support to staff and patients, and coordinate with kitchen teams for timely delivery. Accurate documentation and clear communication are key, along with flexibility to assist on special projects and events.

What You’ll Do

Order Intake:

Receive meal orders from hospital staff, ensuring accuracy and adherence to dietary restrictions.

Dietary Assistance:

Provide information and guidance to patients regarding their dietary options and restrictions.

Menu Knowledge:

Familiarize yourself with the hospital menu and dietary guidelines to assist with meal selection.

Customer Service:

Offer friendly and courteous assistance to hospital staff and patients, addressing any questions or concerns promptly.

Communication:

Coordinate with kitchen staff and other departments to ensure timely and accurate meal delivery.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of meal orders and dietary preferences for each patient.

Other Duties as Assigned:

Assist with special projects, events, and additional tasks as needed to support the overall operations and goals of the hospital café and broader hospital community.

What You Will Bring

Be 18 years or older

Be bilingual in English and Spanish ( required )

Previous customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare or hospitality setting.

Knowledge of dietary restrictions and requirements, with the ability to provide accurate information and guidance to patients.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient‑centered approach.

Attention to detail and accuracy in order intake and documentation.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining professionalism.

Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in healthcare or nutrition is a plus.

A positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with hospital staff to ensure patient satisfaction.

Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.

Physical and Sensory Requirements

This job involves regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and a kitchen environment with fumes, airborne particles, and moderate noise. Employees must have the physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift trays, and perform repetitive tasks. Occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions, extreme temperatures, and vibration may occur. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
