Qualifications:

This position requires a minimum of four years' experience in personnel supervision and evaluation, program development and evaluation, and fiscal management, along with four years of progressively responsible and applicable management and/or supervisory experience. Bachelor's Degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience to provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. A master’s degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field is preferred, as is possession of a valid California Teaching or Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential. Experience working with TRiO Upward Bound or Talent Search programs and familiarity with federal compliance standards are highly desirable. The incumbent must have demonstrated experience working with high school aged students; aptitude in management, supervision, strategic planning, project management and program implementation; ability to adapt to change in the work environment, effectively handle multiple tasks and competing demands, demonstrated ability to communicate clearly in both oral and written form; ability to design and implement formative and summative evaluation strategies, and demonstrate high level of proficiency with computer applications including Google Suite and Microsoft Office (Excel spreadsheets and MS Word). Knowledge of Google Suite, Aeries, student information system and PeopleSoft preferred. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred. This position requires the successful completion of a live scan fingerprinting for Sonoma State University, including a live scan fingerprinting at the assigned school site location and TB test.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

Starting salary placement depends on qualifications and experience and is anticipated to be in the range of $6,000 to $6,250 a month. This is a full time, fixed-term, position. Reappointment to this position is dependent upon the individual's performance as well as administrative and budgetary considerations.

This position is eligible for a broad range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, retirement (CalPERS), tuition waiver, vacation and sick leave. In addition, 15 paid holidays are offered each year. Sonoma State University is also a Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF) Employer.
