What You'll Be Helping Achieve RPA seeks an energetic, proactive, quick-thinking Assistant Media Planner to join the Marathon, and ARCO Media Strategy team. This individual will work closely with the teams planner, on the day-to-day account management, plan development, and implementation of media campaigns. This position will work on cross-channel strategy across Video, Audio, Digital, and OOH. Our dynamic team thrives on hand-raisers who are eager to learn and willing to jump in and take on new challenges. The candidate must be resourceful, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and have great communication and organization skills. Media planning experience is preferred but not required. This is an entry-level position, does not require a college degree, and is a hybrid opportunity.
What You’ll Be Working On
Assist team in formulating and compiling media recommendations (i.e., strategic recommendations, campaign briefs, and tactical recommendations)
Responsible for weekly and monthly reporting (i.e., flowcharts, budget inputs, competitive deep dives, Media Tools inputs, campaign buy details, etc.)
Assist the Media Planner on campaign execution, management, and reporting
Compile data from syndicated research runs, analyze and extract insights to inform strategy
Train and manage work for Interns
How You’ll Excel In Your Role
Strong Oral/Written Communication: Is clear and concise in all communications
Managing Up: Takes the initiative in communicating progress of projects with managers regularly without prompting
Accurate/Detailed Oriented: Takes diligent notes in all situations; Triple checks work and formatted to ensure it’s in a presentable manner
Relationship Builder/Team Player: Develops collaborative relationships with internal/external teams and media vendors
Adaptable: Can take constructive criticism and demonstrate progress; Stays calm in high-pressure situations
Proactive/Solutions Oriented: Comes to the table with potential solutions for tasks/issues and knows when to escape urgent issues; raises hand for additional tasks when the day-to-day is under control
Eagerness to Learn: Has a thirst for knowledge and a desire to learn more about the media landscape, marketplace, and client’s business
Comfortable with numbers/general math
Ability to interpret research and analyze data
Ability to think strategically and work on numerous assignments concurrently
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Pay and Compensation This is a non-exempt position and is eligible for overtime compensation.
The hourly rate for this position is $20.00 an hour, which is the equivalent to $36,400 gross pay a year.
Pay for this opportunity is not negotiable.
