Job Summary
Your core responsibilities will include executing a robust growth and profitability strategy in the FF&E/OS&E sales to the hospitality industry. Building and nurturing industry relationships will be crucial to your success. Additionally, your role will extend to strategically growing the brand’s profitability to meet overarching corporate objectives. The ideal candidate will bring an in-depth understanding of the procurement resale industry, coupled with insights into propelling business growth. Demonstrating superior sales skills, you will play a pivotal role in communicating expectations to customers, ensuring a seamless experience and reinforcing Carver’s commitment to excellence.
Job Description
Contribute innovative sales strategies.
Execute the sales plan to meet revenue, profit, and growth targets.
Participate in trade shows, meet‑and‑greets, and other industry events to establish new relationships and stay abreast of industry innovations, trends, opportunities, and information.
Stay informed about competitors, expansion opportunities, customers, markets, and new industry developments.
Perform any other duties as assigned.
Key Qualifications
Familiarity with the hospitality industry is essential. Local candidate preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated success in the procurement industry, showcasing a strong track record of building and maintaining business relationships with customers.
Clearly demonstrate a strong business acumen, critical and strategic thinking, sound decision making, and creative problem‑solving skills.
Ability to act with integrity, empathy, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with culturally diverse staff and populations.
Willingness to travel up to 30-40% of the time.
Must be comfortable working flexible hours including late afternoons or nights during trade shows and external events.
Business/Marketing Degree Preferred.
Local candidates preferred.
Responsibilities
Partner with FFE/OSE/Design & Finance leadership to develop and implement business plans for project development opportunities.
Represent the company at client and industry events, which can occur during non‑standard business hours (evenings and weekends).
Conduct research and analysis of business opportunities, consistent with the organization’s long‑range and strategic plans.
Evaluate future geographic expansion opportunities and measure success of new market entry.
Collaborate on execution plans for markets in alignment with FFE/OSE/Design & Finance.
Planning and preparation of business proposals and make recommendations to senior management.
Work closely with internal business partners nationally and internationally to assist in driving growth.
Partner with Leadership to evaluate and select vendors, expand current offerings and continuously evaluate channel options.
Lead all aspects of the development of key projects and is accountable for the successful closure of business deals and negotiations.
Responsible for the overall development, implementation and progress of strategic business targets.
Develop new processes to meet project needs, and design projects to suit the financial and operating criteria of a project.
Prepare documents and materials (for example, reports, presentations, proposals and information packages) for meetings and discussions with potential clients and business partners so that the information provided is accurate and appropriate for external distribution.
Maintain contact with the key decision makers internally and externally.
May assist with special analysis in areas such as operational efficiency, market penetration and profitability.
Design, implement and execute all marketing collator including print, web, social media and company web sites.
