Role Overview We are hiring for one of our clients seeking a

Director, Customer Strategy

to define and direct the commercial and customer strategy across channels, partners, and retail ecosystems. This role plays a critical part in shaping enterprise decisions by identifying high-value market opportunities, driving customer-centric planning, and strengthening long-term commercial performance.

The Director will lead strategic customer programs, optimize investments, enhance channel activation, and build strong collaborative relationships across sales, marketing, category, finance, and senior leadership teams. This position requires a visionary leader with strong commercial acumen, analytical capabilities, and the ability to create scalable, customer-focused growth strategies.

Key Responsibilities Customer Strategy & Commercial Leadership

Develop and execute innovative customer strategies that drive channel activation, engagement, and sustained growth.

Lead the creation of customer‑centric strategic plans aligned with enterprise priorities.

Identify high‑value market opportunities and build differentiated strategies that elevate sales efficiency and competitive advantage.

Evaluate commercial investments and optimize resource deployment to maximize ROI and influence P&L outcomes.

Cross‑Functional Influence

Lead and inspire cross‑functional teams to deliver integrated and impactful customer experiences across channels.

Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Category Management, and Finance to align customer strategies with business objectives.

Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, delivering customer‑backed insights that shape enterprise decision‑making.

Data‑Driven Insights & Optimization

Apply advanced analytics and data‑driven insights to optimize channel performance and enhance customer interactions.

Establish KPIs, measurement frameworks, and performance scorecards to evaluate strategy execution and business impact.

Leverage insights to improve segmentation, targeting, channel strategies, and commercial planning.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners to drive mutual growth.

Lead development of value‑driven selling stories, reinforcing the company as a strategic category growth partner.

Identify and support joint business planning opportunities to unlock incremental value.

Organizational Leadership

Mentor, coach, and develop the management team to strengthen commercial capability and strategic thinking.

Champion customer‑centricity across the organization and scale best‑in‑class strategic practices.

Foster a high‑performance culture focused on excellence, collaboration, and agility.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Minimum

8+ years

of experience in customer strategy, channel activation, or related commercial roles.

Proven track record of designing and implementing successful customer strategies.

Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Demonstrated experience influencing cross‑functional stakeholders.

High‑level strategic thinking and strong attention to detail.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Desired Qualifications

Experience in

Consumer‑Packaged Goods (CPG/CPG)

industry strongly preferred.

Experience in cross‑market or international customer environments.

Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, business planning, and P&L management.

Ability to navigate ambiguity and provide structure in unstructured environments.

Proficiency with technology tools that improve commercial and customer strategy effectiveness.

High adaptability and resilience in dynamic business landscapes.
