The Ads Marketing Strategist position is an opportunity to join a high-growth start-up as an emerging creative and business-savvy marketing professional who is eager to build skills and help define the future of the Creator economy at one of its leading companies. In this role, you will support a growing Marketing team within Spotter Ads in the ideation, development, and execution of strategic partnerships between Creators and brands in the form of custom creative partnerships and best-in-class media solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Working in collaboration with the wider Ads Marketing team, assist in the development of strategic recommendations in response to client requests (RFPs, proactive pitches, etc) that bring together a full-suite of advertising solutions (custom content, paid media, social extensions) within insight-driven proposals for brands + agencies
  • Driving the next era of creator-led entertainment by partnering with some of YouTube's top creators to develop original IP and build culture-driven formats designed for premium brand partnerships.
  • Partnering with Ads Research team to develop data-driven Creator recommendations that position key Creators as relevant and impactful partners for advertising campaigns
  • Assisting in the collaboration with internal sales, planning, and operations teams to create and position new ad products and opportunities for key categories and brands to drive revenue
  • Lead & facilitate the population and maintenance of a central repository for Ads Marketing & Growth materials, including case studies, wrap reports, and upcoming Creator tentpoles.
  • Stay on top of Creator and broader media ecosystem trends to Contribute to all Spotter Ads Trade Marketing initiatives, including but not limited to, sponsored & ownable events, social promotion, thought leadership and more.

Who You Are:

  • 2-3+ years of experience in ad sales/integrated marketing at advertising agencies, media companies, or sales organizations OR partnerships at Creator or entertainment-focused firms.
  • College degree in marketing, business administration or related field preferred

Desired Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong storytelling and communication/presentation skills (written, verbal and visual) with ability to transform creative ideas, Creator content, and marketplace positioning into compelling materials and collateral to be utilized by sales team
  • Interest and knowledge Creators, as well as emerging technology and platforms, with a passion to continue learning about this dynamic category and what's next across the Creator economy, premium video ecosystems, pop culture, and adtech.
  • Experience crafting content and campaign strategies across platforms (with focus on YouTube) and content types, including branded content, Creator-led partnerships, and on-going series.
  • Proven ability to multitask and oversee multiple projects and priorities independently, all guided by a detail-oriented and organized mindset.
  • Understanding of wider media ecosystem
  • Creative problem solver and entrepreneurial spirit committed to helping fuel Spotter's growth with a can-do approach and desire and willingness to roll-up-their-sleeves.
  • Strong working knowledge of PowerPoint / Google Slides for visual storytelling

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be performed in New York City. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current pay range is: $80K-$90K salary per year. The range listed is just one component of Spotter's total compensation package for employees.
