Social Media Manager
Creative People, Seattle, WA, United States
Our client in the CPG/match space is looking for a Social Media Manager to define, grow, and lead their multi-channel social presence. This role owns how our client shows up on social media - from strategy and storytelling to community engagement, partnerships, and more. This role is required to be onsite 5x/week in the Seattle office.
As social is often a customer’s first touchpoint with our client, it’s critical that our presence sets the tone and reflects our core brand values while pushing boundaries to deliver engaging, standout content. You’ll set the vision, develop a compelling and distinctive content strategy, and continuously evolve our platform approach to make our products stand out in the algorithm.
Social isn’t just about posting or conversion - it’s a creative engine that translates the brand’s personality, educates our audience, and drives awareness. This is a high-visibility role for a confident leader who loves being on camera and is imaginative, culturally fluent, organized, and analytically sharp. This marketing role reports directly to the Head of Brand and partners cross-functionally with the cafe and partnership teams.
What You'll Do:
Define and own our client's social strategy across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging platforms
Be the face of our client
Establish content pillars, creative frameworks, channel-specific tactics, and posting cadence
Lead ideation and planning for our social calendar, balancing company-wide objectives with content that is fun, witty, educational, and culturally relevant
Act as our client's cultural filter - spotting trends early and deciding what’s worth engaging with (and what’s not)
Own social platforms end-to-end, including content creation, publishing, and performance
Build scalable systems for content ideation, production, posting, and reporting
Evaluate and manage social tools, digital platforms, and third-party vendors
Ensure external partners support speed and scale without diluting brand voice or quality
Cross-Functional Leadership:
Serve as the social expert and point of view internally
Partner closely across all teams to create cohesion and deliver a seamless experience
Develop agile processes for real-time moments, cultural reactions, and risk management
What You'll Bring:
2-4+ years of experience in social strategy, content, digital storytelling and community engagement
Proven success concepting, creating content, and appearing on camera
Experience growing and managing social teams in fast-paced environments
Understanding of TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging platforms - including algorithms, formats, and cultural nuance
Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, Calendar) for collaboration, documentation, and reporting
The ability to write and speak with charm and personality - knowing when to be funny, when to be smart, and when to keep it simple
Strong ownership mentality and comfort navigating ambiguity in a startup environment
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
Curiosity, rigor, and a desire to continuously improve processes and outputs
Bonus Points:
Proven success at a fast-paced startup
Passion for Matcha
Ability to work in Adobe Suite or other design and video editing software
