Hiring a 1st Shift Shipping and Receiving Specialist in Camp Hill, PA!
The Shipping & Receiving Specialist is responsible for coordinating and executing inbound / outbound shipments for an industrial wire distribution facility. This role ensures orders are accurately prepared, documented, and shipped on time while maintaining safety, quality, and customer service standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in a warehouse or industrial shipping environment. Responsibilities
Prepare and process outbound shipments of industrial wire, cable, reels, and related materials. Verify orders for accuracy by checking part numbers, quantities, weights, and packaging requirements. Generate and process shipping documentation including bills of lading, packing slips, labels, and carrier paperwork. Coordinate shipments with carriers, drivers, and internal warehouse teams. Schedule pickups and deliveries and communicate shipping timelines or delays as needed. Ensure wire reels, spools, and pallets are properly secured, labeled, and staged for shipment. Operate or assist with forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as needed. Maintain accurate shipping records and update inventory or ERP systems. Inspect outgoing shipments for damage or compliance issues and report discrepancies. Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and OSHA guidelines. Keep the shipping area clean, organized, and audit-ready. Essential Skills
Previous shipping or warehouse experience required (industrial distribution preferred). Experience shipping heavy or oversized materials such as wire, cable, metals, or building materials strongly preferred. Familiarity with LTL, flatbed, and common carrier shipping. Basic computer skills and experience with shipping systems or ERP software. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Sit-Down Forklift. Minimum 2 years of shipping experience in distribution and logistics. Shift
Monday - Friday (7am - 3:30pm) Pay
