We invest in our people and provide long-term career development opportunities in a supportive, growth-oriented environment.**Position Overview**Staxmatic is seeking an experienced **Commercial Mechanical Superintendent** to oversee and coordinate mechanical operations across multiple commercial construction job sites. This role is responsible for leading field teams, managing day-to-day site activities, and ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within scope, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.The Mechanical Superintendent serves as a key field leader, collaborating closely with Project Managers, General Contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to drive successful project execution from mobilization through closeout.**Compensation & Benefits*** Salary: Up to $120,000 annually, depending on experience and overall fit* Schedule: Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturdays based on project needs* Pay Frequency: Weekly* Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance* Hospital and Identity Theft coverage* Voluntary Short-Term Disability, Life, and Accident coverage* HSA with company match* 401(k) with company match* Company-paid Basic Life, AD&D, and Long-Term Disability insurance* Pay Card option and online pay stub access* Company-provided PPE, iPhone, and iPad* 24/7 office and field support**Key Responsibilities*** Oversee and supervise work performed on commercial mechanical systems across multiple job sites* Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to field teams while ensuring quality standards are met* Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors as needed* Plan, coordinate, and schedule day-to-day job activities for helpers and subcontractors in accordance with project scope* Monitor job site progress and proactively address issues related to safety, productivity, delays, or rework* Maintain daily job site logs and provide updates to management* Implement operational changes as approved by Project Manager or Operations Manager* Ensure safety standards are met and submit required safety documentation per job site and GC requirements* Create cost estimates for labor, supplies, materials, and other project-related expenses* Collaborate with clients, Project Managers, and construction leadership to determine budgets and timelines* Travel between multiple job sites and manage simultaneous project workloads* Identify and resolve problems and field conflicts while promoting teamwork across trades* Coordinate materials, tools, and equipment deliveries with vendors and suppliers* Schedule and support inspections to meet applicable safety, quality, and compliance regulations* Prepare, submit, and track RFIs to clarify project details and resolve discrepancies* Manage change orders, ensuring proper documentation, approval, and communication of scope, schedule, and cost impacts* Prepare and review submittals and spreadsheets related to project tracking and documentation* Manage subcontractors to ensure work is completed on schedule and adequate manpower is maintained* Review and understand full project scope to ensure proper execution* Utilize Procore for project management, documentation, and communication* Visit the office weekly to meet with operations team and review project progress* Perform other duties and special projects as assigned## Qualifications**Required Qualifications*** Minimum of 5 years of experience supervising commercial mechanical construction projects* Strong knowledge of commercial mechanical systems and construction practices* OSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30 strongly preferred* Valid driver’s license and ability to meet background check requirements* Proficiency with Windows-based systems and Microsoft Office* Experience using Procore or similar construction management software preferred* Strong project scheduling, workforce coordination, and deadline management skills* Ability to travel between multiple job sites* Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions* Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills**Preferred Qualifications*** Experience leading large commercial mechanical or MEP projects* Familiarity with GC coordination, subcontractor management, and multi-trade environments* Strong understanding of job site safety programs and compliance requirements* Experience collaborating closely with Project Management and Operations teams**Learn more:**
