
Floating Property Assistant

LaSalle Network is hiring a Floating Property Manager to support operations across multiple residential communities. This Floating Property Manager role is ideal for a property operations professional who thrives in fast‑paced environments and enjoys supporting multiple locations and teams.
The Floating Property Manager will assist with property administration, leasing coordination, compliance documentation and resident support while ensuring smooth daily operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to confidently step into leadership responsibilities when needed.
Responsibilities
Support day‑to‑day operations across multiple residential communities
Assist site leadership during absences or high‑demand operational periods
Manage rent collection, deposits and payment posting
Issue notices and maintain documentation related to delinquent accounts
Process property invoices and maintain accurate financial records
Maintain waitlists, housing applications and resident records
Assist with move‑ins, lease preparation and recertifications
Ensure files meet compliance and regulatory documentation standards
Assist with property inspections, audits and required reporting
Respond to resident concerns and coordinate resolution of maintenance issues
Support community activities and operational initiatives
Requirements
High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred
1–3 years of property management, housing administration or related experience
Strong conflict resolution and resident service skills
Exceptional organizational and administrative abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to travel frequently between communities
Must obtain Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) certification within 12 months
Key Details
Compensation: $26.50 - $28.50 per hour, depending on experience
Benefits: Medical, dental and vision insurance
Location: Multiple residential communities in Cook and Lake Counties, Illinois
Work Model: Onsite | Frequent travel between locations
