SUMMARY The Community Banker delivers personalized client service by holding financial conversations with clients and prospects to determine their needs and provide appropriate solutions. The role maintains client relationships with an emphasis on First Interstate Bank’s Service Commitments and aligns with our vision and values.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide personalized client service in person and over the phone by answering questions, assisting with issues, and offering solutions.

Open and maintain a variety of products, including consumer and business checking and savings accounts, Individual Retirement Accounts, Certificates of Deposit, and consumer and small business credit cards.

Hold financial conversations with clients and prospects to determine needs and provide appropriate solutions.

Process new consumer loan requests; may also engage in conversations or process new small business loan requests.

Identify referral opportunities to other lines of business—including Home Loans, Treasury Solutions, Merchant Services, Business Banking, Wealth Management— and consistently use 360 View to document referrals and other client activity.

Build client relationships through outbound outreach and proactive engagement.

Perform teller duties as needed, conducting financial transactions such as check cashing, deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and accurately counting currency and coin.

Complete work accurately with minimal errors.

Participate in volunteer activities and financial education efforts.

Stay current on regulatory changes and demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations, policies, and procedures related to assigned job functions.

This position requires compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and related regulations. Employment is contingent upon meeting these requirements, including acceptable background investigation results.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.

1–3 years of banking or related experience required.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS We offer a competitive total compensation package including base salary and benefits. The pay range for this position is $23.61 to $35.42 per hour in CO and depends on several non‑discriminatory factors including job‐related knowledge, skills, experience, education, and geographic location. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, short‑term and long‑term disability benefits, life insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings account, employee assistance program, 401(k), Paid Time Off (new hires accrue at .069 per hour worked, approximately 18 days per year including paid sick time), and up to 11 paid Federal holidays.
