Job Overview As a Courtroom Administrator in Criminal, you will receive in‑depth training on processing court proceedings, handling evidence, administering oaths, and supporting judges, attorneys, and the public. You will work closely with judges, hearing officers, bailiffs, defense, prosecution, and interpreters.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately record court proceedings details and enter items into the database.
Function as a procedural and operational liaison between judges, attorneys, and the public.
Review case files and database entries for accuracy.
Maintain flexibility and professionalism when managing assigned court calendars.
Share knowledge of courtroom processes with colleagues.
Handle multiple tasks: listening, writing, scheduling dates, answering questions, entering data, monitoring electronic record flow.
Cover high‑volume, fast‑paced courtrooms independently or as a team.
Adjust to changing technology.
Work overtime with little or no notice as required.
Qualifications Associate’s degree supplemented by three years of recent and relevant experience is required. Alternatively, two years of direct work experience and one year of supplemental work experience is required. Must demonstrate acute attention to detail in maintaining detailed data, preferably in an automated system. Deputization may be required.
