Summary The Sorella by Giada Server
is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service in a high‑volume, upscale dining environment. This role ensures accurate order taking, food and beverage delivery, and adherence to service standards while creating a memorable dining experience for all guests.
Responsibilities
Greet guests promptly and courteously upon arrival at assigned tables.
Present menus, explain daily specials, and make knowledgeable food and beverage recommendations.
Accurately input food and beverage orders into the POS system.
Deliver food and beverages in a timely and professional manner.
Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly to requests or concerns.
Process guest payments accurately (cash, credit, comps, rewards).
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the assigned section, side stations, and dining room.
Complete assigned opening, side work, and closing duties.
Follow all company service standards and steps of service.
Maintain proper food handling and sanitation standards.
Comply with all state and local alcohol service regulations.
Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Promote property events, promotions, and loyalty programs when appropriate.
Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with company standards.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Previous serving experience in upscale or high‑volume restaurant preferred.
Strong knowledge of food, wine, and beverage service.
Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic math skills for handling payments and making change.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Must be able to lift and carry trays up to 25 lbs.
