Kids & Youth Ministry Summer Intern The Vineyard Church

Position Type: Paid Summer Internship
Duration: June 1 – August 2 (negotiable)
Hours/Pay: average of 15-20 hours per week, $13 per hour (there will be some event weeks where interns will need to work more than 15-20 hours but will be paid for those additional hours)
Reports To: Next Gen Pastor
*Applicants must have a vehicle and ideally, have a place to stay in the Greater Houston area but we may be able to make summer living arrangements work if applicant is from out of town
General Description The Vineyard Church is looking for two passionate and energetic Summer Ministry Interns to support our Kids and Youth Ministries during the summer months! As a Kids and Youth Intern you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and Jesus-centered environment for children of all ages, while also gaining hands‑on ministry experience and mentorship. This position is ideal for college students who are discerning a call to ministry or simply enjoy working with kids and teens in a church ministry setting.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting with Sunday morning and midweek programming
Supporting/attending special summer events (i.e., VBS, High School Retreat, SERVE Week, Wacky Wednesdays, etc.)
Building positive relationships with children, students, parents, and volunteers
Assisting with set-up, clean-up, and room/closet organization
Attending weekly all staff meeting
Attending weekly mentorship/training meeting with the Next Gen Pastor
