Position Summary Benjamin + Company is seeking a Timber Framer to join our team. The ideal candidate brings hands‑on knowledge of traditional timber framing techniques, an understanding of structural wood systems, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a crew. This role requires craftsmanship, a team‑oriented mindset, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Applicants Should
Be enthusiastic about creating beautiful, resilient work
Demonstrate attention to detail when laying out, cutting, and assembling timber frame components
Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
Participate in frame raisings and on‑site installations
Communicate clearly and work well with others
Be comfortable with physically demanding outdoor work and working at heights
Possess basic tools appropriate to experience level and a valid driver’s license
Collaborate effectively with project managers, teammates, and subcontractors
Maintain a clean and organized job site
Preferred Qualifications
Background in traditional hand‑cut joinery
Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and architectural plans
Proficiency in forklift operation
While previous timber framing experience is preferred, we are willing to train the right candidate with prior carpentry experience.
