Tax Analyst
We are partnering with a growing organization to identify a detail-oriented
Tax Analyst
with strong experience in
tax exemption and compliance . This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working through complex tax regulations, ensuring compliance, and serving as a key resource for exemption-related matters across the business.
Key Responsibilities of the Tax Analyst:
Manage and maintain
tax exemption certificates , ensuring accuracy and compliance across multiple jurisdictions
Review, validate, and approve exemption documentation for customers and vendors
Partner with internal teams (AP, AR, Sales) to ensure proper tax treatment on transactions
Research and interpret
sales and use tax laws , with an emphasis on exemption eligibility
Support internal and external audits by gathering exemption documentation and responding to inquiries
Track and manage certificate expirations, ensuring timely updates and renewals
Assist with tax filings, reconciliations, and continuous process improvements
Qualifications of the Tax Analyst:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2+ years of tax or accounting experience, with
hands-on tax exemption experience required
Strong knowledge of
sales and use tax regulations
Experience handling exemption certificates in a high-volume environment
Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage competing priorities
