Position Title
Sales Merchandiser (Wine & Spirits / Beverage Industry)
Location Tampa, FL (Territory includes Venice, Sarasota, Bradenton, and Ellenton)
Clearance Requirements Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (no DUIs)
Position Status Contract / Contract-to-Hire
Pay Rate Up to $20/hour
Position Description We are seeking dependable, self‑motivated Sales Merchandisers to support retail accounts across the Tampa and Sarasota territory. This field‑based role is ideal for professionals with experience in retail merchandising, beverage distribution, grocery stocking, and consumer packaged goods (CPG) who enjoy working independently while driving between multiple store locations.
In this role, you will execute merchandising strategies across major retail accounts, including stocking, rotating, resetting shelves, and building high‑impact product displays. You will collaborate with sales representatives and store personnel to maximize product visibility, maintain brand standards, and drive in‑store sales performance. Merchandisers typically service 4–6 retail accounts per day along an established route.
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
Drive assigned territory route using personal vehicle to service retail accounts
Stock, rotate, and merchandise beverage products from back stock and delivery loads
Execute planograms, shelf resets, and cold box merchandising
Build and maintain point‑of‑sale (POS) displays and promotional materials
Maintain organized, safe, and efficient back‑stock areas
Monitor inventory levels to support accurate order writing and sales growth
Develop strong working relationships with store managers and retail teams
Provide exceptional customer service and represent brand standards professionally
Accurately track time and complete required reporting
Required Skills/Education
Must be 21 years of age or older
High school diploma or GED required
Valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, and active auto insurance
Clean driving record (no DUIs)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in cold storage environments
Strong time management and ability to work independently in a route‑based role
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications
1+ year of experience in retail merchandising, grocery stocking, or CPG sales support
Experience executing planograms, shelf resets, and display builds
Knowledge of beverage, wine & spirits, or consumer packaged goods industry
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Proven ability to build positive relationships with retail partners
