Part-Time Retail Sales Associate
$14.00 to $17.00 per hour
Commission: Earn up to 8% (average $2.33 per hour) on top of base hourly rate.

Position Summary We are seeking entry‑level, part‑time sales associates for our pawn store locations nationwide. The Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions. The role involves a wide variety of merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.
The Part‑Time position offers an hourly wage PLUS commission based on productivity. Actual pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities
Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate solutions.
Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and displays merchandise.
Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Handles all cash and negotiable items in accordance with established policies.
Answers incoming calls per company standards.
Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect.
Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
Successfully completes assigned training.
Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
Willing and able to perform duties requiring standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting for extended periods.
Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
May assist customers outside the store or retrieve products from exterior storage areas.
Minimum age 18 years.
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team‑oriented.
Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
Proficient in basic math calculations.
Cash handling experience preferred.
Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
Flexible retail schedule incl. weekends and holidays.
Computer literate; able to use POS systems and common office machines.

Commission Plan Information The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to FirstCash. Pawnbrokers can earn 2–8% commission based on gross profit of personal performance. Detailed information is provided during the interview process.
