Work Arrangement Onsite with flexible schedules available to support academic obligations, contingent upon a minimum commitment of 25 hours per week. Morning availability is preferred; however, the specific days worked may be flexible.

What You’ll Do This role is designed for a motivated part‑time professional who is interested in building a career in third‑party logistics (3PL). Joining the Carrier Sales team provides hands‑on experience in developing carrier partnerships, securing reliable transportation capacity, and supporting the execution of day‑to‑day freight operations. You will work alongside experienced Carrier Sales Representatives to understand how rates are negotiated, how market conditions impact pricing and capacity, and how strong partnerships drive service and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the team with sourcing and vetting carriers, tracking shipments, communicating with transportation partners, and maintaining accurate system updates.
Learn how to analyze market trends, support pricing decisions, and help ensure consistent, reliable capacity for our customers.
Participate in a developmental, collaborative environment—receive fundamentals of carrier sales while providing meaningful operational support to the team.
Ideal for a student who is competitive, relationship‑driven, detail‑oriented, and eager to learn the fast‑paced world of freight brokerage.
By the end of the experience, have a foundational understanding of how a 3PL operates, how carrier networks are built, and how carrier sales play a critical role in delivering value to customers.
Qualifications Education & Credentials
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Working to obtain a bachelor’s degree in business, transportation, or a related field preferred.
Bi‑Linguual preferred but not required.
Experience
0–3 years of experience in truck transportation, truck brokerage, supply chain management, import/export transportation, customer service, negotiations, or related experience.
Job Scope Position impacts a single business unit/segment.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships both internally and externally.
Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills.
Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously while meeting assigned deadlines.
Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
Ability to perform accurately in a detail‑oriented environment.
Ability to gather, interpret, report and use data and other information concerning assigned activities.
Ability to function effectively with, or as part of a team.
Balance a high level of inbound phone calls while still making outbound calls in a high‑pressure environment.
Create a pipeline based on the use of repeated and new carriers.
Technical Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook and Word.
Working Conditions Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like. Extended use of a computer keyboard, viewing of a computer monitor and the ability to sit for long periods of time.
