American Girl Asset Protection Associate (Seasonal) – New York, NY – Pay: USD $20‑$21 per hour
The Seasonal Asset Protection Associate is located at the American Girl Retail Flagship store in New York City and reports directly to the Asset Protection Manager. This position is responsible for maintaining a safe environment for customers and employees while safeguarding company assets.
What Your Impact Will Be
Maintain a safe environment for American Girl customers, guests, and store employees by monitoring and correcting safety concerns and controlling customer traffic when needed.
Provide external and internal customer service in a positive, friendly, and professional business manner, and diffuse escalated situations.
Prevent loss of company assets through surveillance, employee package checks, trash checks, and knowledge of civil and criminal laws related to retail security.
Serve as a safety mentor for store employees and lead by example.
What We're Looking For
1–2 years of loss prevention, law enforcement, criminal justice, military, or security experience (preferred).
State‑specific license (required).
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (preferred).
Demonstrated ability to work with a broad, diverse workforce and customer base, including children (preferred).
Must be available to work evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts.
