We operate the retail store for the Oregon Zoo in Portland, Oregon, which extends the Zoo’s mission to create a better future for wildlife and their habitats. We are seeking a Part‑Time Seasonal Sales Associate.
Role You will be the heart of the store, delivering an exceptional shopping experience that connects guests with products celebrating wildlife conservation.
What You’ll Do
Create magical moments: greet guests, provide product demos, and make each interaction fun and meaningful.
Support day‑to‑day operations, ensuring the store runs smoothly – restocking shelves, helping guests find items, etc.
Engage & entertain guests with positive energy, creating memorable shopping experiences.
What We’re Looking For
Flexible & ready for irregular hours, including weekends, early evenings, and holidays.
People person: loves meeting new people and initiates conversations with guests of all ages.
Product knowledge: excited to share features and provide personalized recommendations.
Team player: welcoming, positive, and collaborates effectively with fellow team members.
Bonus Points If You Have
Previous retail experience, cash handling, merchandising, or customer service.
What to Expect
On your feet most of the time, moving around the store, assisting customers, and creating displays; reach, bend, stoop, or crawl as needed.
Light lifting up to 15 pounds occasionally.
