Founding Sales Associate

Reservoir is a VC backed startup based in Boston. We believe we have the fastest path to electrify every home in America with the power of water. We are building a next generation electric water heater system that delivers instant hot water while dramatically improving energy efficiency and reliability. We are looking for a hands-on and entrepreneurial Founding Sales Associate to help homeowners upgrade to a better water heater and help build the foundation for sales in a seed stage hardware company.

The ideal candidate is tech savvy, passionate about consumer hardware, and ready to wear many hats across sales, marketing and operations. You are a strong communicator who can build trust quickly with homeowners and explain a new product clearly. You will be on the ground floor of a venture backed startup working directly with an experienced, fast-paced founding team.

Job Duties/Responsibilities The role

Speak directly with homeowners who are replacing or upgrading their water heater.

Educate customers on how Reservoir works and why it is better than generic water heaters.

Guide customers through the sales process from first conversation to purchase.

Maintain organization across leads, follow-ups, and pipeline.

Work closely with product, marketing and operations to improve the customer experience.

Provide feedback from customer conversations to help shape product and go-to-market strategy.

Help refine Reservoir’s early sales scripts, tools and processes.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications

Highly motivated self-starter who takes action with little guidance and thrives in an unstructured environment.

~2 years of experience in sales, customer success, or a customer-facing role.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to understand and clearly explain technical products.

Organized and capable of managing multiple conversations and follow-ups at once.

Customer-first mindset and excitement to help homeowners adopt better technology.

Preferred qualifications

Sales or customer experience in consumer products.

Home services, hardware, or climate industry experience.

Experience working at an early-stage startup.

Interest in electrification, home energy, or climate technology.
