Position Overview Branch Counter Sales Associate – HVAC Products. Join a team that excels in providing top‑notch HVAC/R parts and supplies through licensed dealers and contractors. You’ll be the face of our branch, delivering exceptional customer service, product knowledge, and support to HVAC/R professionals and contractors who visit our location. This position is hourly ($20.00–$25.00) and eligible for performance‑based bonuses and incentives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Greet customers and assist them in selecting the right HVAC/R products and supplies.
Process orders accurately, handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
Maintain deep product knowledge, staying current on specifications, compatibility, and pricing.
Monitor and replenish stock, conduct inventory counts, and report discrepancies.
Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and solutions for HVAC/R equipment issues.
Adhere to safety protocols, keeping the counter area clean and organized.
Complete necessary paperwork and documentation for customer transactions.
Occasional travel may be required for training or related activities.
Qualifications
Prior customer service experience.
Leadership experience with profit and loss responsibility preferred.
Retail leadership experience.
Proven ability to grow sales in a retail environment.
Experience building cross‑functional relationships.
Analytical skills using customer, market, and competitor data.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with HVAC contractors.
Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office.
Team‑work orientation and willingness to participate.
Technical aptitude at an above‑average level.
Experience with sales and/or inventory management systems.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED; associate’s degree in business, marketing or related field preferred.
Experience managing in a B2B environment or distribution/wholesale sales preferred but not required.
Excellent relationship‑building skills; team builder and player focused on sales.
