Summary The Outside Sales Assistant supports the sales team by handling administrative tasks, preparing reports, updating quotations, and assisting with data analysis and sales documentation. This role also provides operational support to the outside sales team through inventory reporting, customer sales analysis, and preparation of presentation materials. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple administrative and sales support tasks.
Responsibilities
Prepare monthly reports including inventory value reports, shipping history, and customer sales reports
Create monthly sales and inventory analysis charts for internal review
Attend and support monthly sales meetings
Generate internal sales and inventory reports (e.g., SKS reports)
Update and manage quotations for the sales team
Support preparation and input of quotations for new sales opportunities
Process control tasks and support order-related documentation
Manage sample purchase orders and CPI-related documentation
Prepare presentation materials and charts for the outside sales team
Perform data entry and maintain sales-related records and reports
Generate accounts receivable and sales-by-customer reports
Assist with updating sales brochures and marketing materials
Support fiscal year sales forecast preparation
Assist with company seasonal communications (e.g., holiday cards)
Handle occasional administrative tasks such as purchasing office items, gifts, or equipment
Working Hours, Working Style 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
Full-time, exempt
On-site with regular regional travel (Midwest U.S.)
Working Location Indianapolis, IN
Travel includes Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, and Kentucky
Salary / Benefit

Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Experience supporting sales teams or handling administrative/reporting tasks
Strong data entry accuracy and reporting skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
Strong communication skills and ability to work with internal teams
