
Director/ Managing Director - Asset Manager, Real Estate

The Asset Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial performance and strategy of a portfolio of commercial real estate investments. This role monitors property performance, works with property managers and brokers, and identifies opportunities to increase asset value through leasing, operational improvements, refinancing, or disposition.
Daily Responsibilities
Monitor financial performance of assigned properties (NOI, occupancy, rent collections, expenses)
Review property financial reports and compare performance against budgets and projections
Work with property managers to improve operations and address performance issues
Develop budgets, capital improvement plans, and cash flow forecasts
Evaluate value-add opportunities such as renovations, leasing strategies, or repositioning
Review and approve major lease transactions and tenant terms
Prepare investor reports and portfolio performance updates
Coordinate with lenders, brokers, attorneys, and other external partners
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, Economics, or related field
~5+ years of experience in commercial real estate asset management, investment analysis, or property management
Strong financial modeling and Excel skills
Experience with ARGUS Enterprise preferred
Familiarity with real estate systems such as Yardi, MRI, or CoStar
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
