Position Summary
We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time Retail Sales Associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The role involves working both the lending and retail sides of the business, greeting, engaging, and assisting customers with sales, loans, and other transactions. Working hours are typically 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with many stores closed on Sundays.
Responsibilities
Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial or retail solutions.
Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and proper merchandise displays.
Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
Handles all cash and negotiable items following established procedures.
Answers incoming calls per company standards.
Communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
Collaborates with coworkers and managers to create a positive customer experience.
Completes assigned training and any additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
Must work for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, lifting, etc.) as allowed by law.
Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
Willingness to assist customers exterior to the building and access exterior storage areas.
Minimum age 18 years.
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
Strong desire to serve customers and be team‑oriented.
Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
Basic math proficiency.
Preferred cash‑handling experience.
Flexibility to work in multiple locations and on a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Computer literacy and ability to operate Point‑of‑Sale (POS) systems and office machines.
Commission & Compensation Hourly wage $15.25 to $18.00 per hour, plus commission based on productivity. Retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions (averaging an additional $3.44 per hour on top of the hourly rate). Pawnbrokers earn 2–8% commission based on gross profit of personal performance.
