IT Director

Kavaliro isseeking an experienced Information Technology Director to lead the development and execution of our client's overall technology vision. In this role, you will oversee how systems, infrastructure, and support functions operate across multiple locations, ensuring everything runs efficiently and reliably. You’ll be responsible for guiding a team of Help Desk Engineers, managing daily IT operations, and driving longer‑term initiatives that strengthen and scale our technology environment. The ideal candidate brings a forward‑thinking mindset and a strong focus on building systems that not only support business needs but enable continued growth.

This position is based onsite in our Jacksonville office, with a Monday through Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement an IT roadmap that aligns with organizational goals

Lead, coach, and expand a team of IT professionals, including Help Desk staff

Oversee Microsoft 365 and Azure environments to maintain stability, security, and performance

Identify and deploy technology solutions that improve efficiency and support business operations

Establish and maintain cybersecurity practices, compliance standards, and risk management protocols

Manage network infrastructure, including WAN/LAN, VPNs, and firewall systems

Direct disaster recovery and business continuity planning efforts

Collaborate with executive leadership to support digital initiatives and process improvements

Manage IT budgets, forecasts, and cost‑control strategies

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in IT, with a progression into leadership roles

Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, and enterprise‑level networking

Strong background in cybersecurity, compliance, and risk mitigation

Experience overseeing IT operations across multiple sites

Proven ability to lead teams and manage cross‑functional projects

Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels

Leadership Competencies

Ability to think strategically and plan for long‑term success

Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and team leadership

Experience leading change and driving organizational improvements

Skilled in building alignment across departments

Confident decision‑maker in complex or uncertain situations

Preferred Experience

Industry certifications such as CISSP, Azure Solutions Architect, or ITIL

Background in cloud migrations or large‑scale digital transformation efforts

Experience working in regulated environments such as banking or financial services
