Job Summary The Sales Associate is responsible for providing outstanding customer service to customers by selling tires and automotive service, road hazard, recommended services, benefits and product features, creating long-term loyalty bonds with customers; driving sales and profitability of the store, communicating and managing repair orders and maintaining a clean and well merchandised store.
Responsibilities
Promptly meets and greets customers
Answers phone and schedules appointments with customers
Determines the nature of customer problems; May make road test or visually inspect the vehicle
Creates Repair Order Request detailing service to be performed or merchandise to be sold
Explains warranties, options, pricing, etc. to the customer
Obtains customer approval for service before delivering order to service personnel
Reviews completed repairs or services performed with customers and collects payment
Desired Qualifications
High School graduate or comparable vocational training
Knowledge of computerized sales and marketing software
Knowledge of auto/truck tire, lubrication and maintenance issues
2+ years experience in a retail environment, preferably auto/truck tire, lubrication and maintenance
Retail customer service and customer relations experience
Preferred Experience
3+ years experience as a Sales Associate in an auto repair store, auto dealership or comparable professional environment
