
Sales Assistant/Technical Assistant

Summary
Their role is to provide both administrative and technical/customer support for business clients or the internal team to facilitate the sales process and ensure smooth operations.
Responsibilities
Under a technical manager, support customers' needs for technical advice for various industrial goods.
Perform data entry tasks for sales figures, metrics, and other relevant information and maintain an organized and accessible filing system.
Create and process orders in a timely manner, processing requests for rush orders, and reviewing pending orders and customer requests to ensure customer satisfaction.
Communicate with manufacturers/suppliers and customers in Japan and ensure commercial processing by following up orders, deliveries and manufacturing deadlines, and also handle administrative files (invoices, estimates, statistics, reminders, etc.).
Altering sales orders and shipping information as required.
Report any unusual activity to supervisors.
Collaborate effectively with the sales team by creating and issuing sales tracking documentation upon request.
Provide assistance to management team members and executives as needed.
Qualifications
Outstanding communication and teamwork skills
Customer service skills,
Ability to multitask and quickly switch your focus. Highly motivated
Proficient in MS Office
Some hands-on technical background is welcome, but not necessary.
Experience in sales assistance and/or customer service and high-volume office work may be advantageous
Bilingual in Japanese/English is preferred, but not necessary.
Some experience in Mechanical/Structural/Chemical/Electrical Engineering fields would be greatly helpful.
