The Senior Director of Information Technology is responsible for leading and optimizing technology across the company’s hotel portfolio and corporate platform. This role serves as the primary point of contact for all IT-related initiatives, ensuring systems are secure, reliable, and aligned with operational goals. The position partners closely with property teams, corporate leadership, and third-party vendors to deliver scalable, practical technology solutions.

Essential Functions:

Oversee performance, security, and reliability of all corporate and property-level systems, including PMS, POS, network infrastructure, and cloud-based platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams).

Own and support the hotel technology stack, including PMS (Opera), POS systems, CRS integrations, and key operational platforms across the portfolio.

Responsible for system integrations with Marriott and serves as the liaison for Trailborn on successful tech stack integrations as needed.

Serve as the primary IT liaison- ensuring compliance, connectivity, and optimization across Marriott systems.

Manage relationships with third-party IT vendors and managed service providers, ensuring strong performance, accountability, and cost control.

Lead system implementations, upgrades, conversions, and integrations, particularly during property transitions, openings, and brand changes.

Troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical issues impacting property operations, guest experience, or revenue systems.

Establish and maintain IT policies, cybersecurity protocols, data protection standards, and PCI compliance across all systems.

Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, HR, and Commercial teams to support business initiatives and ensure technology alignment.

Qualifications

8+ years of progressive IT experience, preferably in hospitality or multi-unit environments.

Strong working knowledge of hotel systems (PMS, POS, CRS, network infrastructure, cloud platforms).

Experience supporting Marriott systems and brand standards preferred.

Experience managing vendors and outsourced IT support models.

Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in a lean environment.
