Bomgaars is seeking motivated, customer service oriented individuals to work in the Garden Center during peak gardening seasons.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be 18 years or older
Agriculture background helpful
Product knowledge – flowers, fruit trees, plants and vegetables
Willing to work outside for extended time periods
Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. on a regular basis and stand for long periods of time
Committed to excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
Must be able to work part-time hours – 2 days per week, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and rotating weekends, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm (shift premium paid for working weekends)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Freight handling/Merchandising indoors and outdoors/Signage with plant information
Maintain the nursery area (varying weather conditions)
Basic gardening tasks (watering, weeding, fertilizing, and repotting as needed)
Stocking with new plants/rotating inventory/checking for damaged or unhealthy plants
Handling phone calls
Assisting customer with product selection and load outs
*Pre-employment screen required
Wage is $12.00 per hour, based on experience Employee Discount Flexible Hours
