Reporting to the Assistant Outlets Manager, the IRD Server, is responsible for serving guests in a professional and polite manner while maintaining the high standards of food and beverage quality, presentation and sanitation. He/she is also responsible for creating a hospitable atmosphere to all internal and external guests while maintaining a professional image and an organized and efficient work area.

Rate of Pay $14.00 - $16.50 per hour + tips
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain a positive service attitude at all times and be willing to help and advise guests with all questions and requests they may have.
Deliver IRD orders/requests to the correct guests
Respond to guest orders in a timely fashion
Ensure that the work area is clean and neat
Ensure all equipment is in good working order and to report any malfunctions to your direct supervisor/manager
Be knowledgeable of all menu items, their garnishes, contents and preparation methods. Be prepared to answer any guest questions about the menu in a direct and concise way
Follow procedures when ringing in guest orders. Read the cashier/operator's order carefully, ensure accuracy when reading room numbers, cover count, guest name, food and beverage items, and specific guest requests
Ensure that all side duties as requested by supervisor are completed to standard before departing for the day
Assist with the organization and delivery of amenities
Operate the Micros P. O. S system by following procedures when opening and closing checks. He / she is responsible for the operation and balancing of shift deposits on the Micros point of sale system and is accountable for their own deposit
Clear and clean your area and supplies throughout the shift as well as at the end of the shift
Rotate dishes, cutlery and other dishware as required
All mise-en-place work to be completed by each server as assigned to you by your direct supervisor
Pick up of all dishware/service trays in a prompt and efficient manner
Qualifications Your experience and skills include:
Previous food and beverage experience is preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Cash handling/transaction abilities
ServSafe training is an asset
Available to work varied shifts based on business demands including but not limited to mornings, late evenings, weekends and holidays.
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
Physical Aspects of Position
Constant standing and walking throughout shift
Must be able to lift, carry, reach, push/pull at least 40lbs
Frequently bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling and lifting
Occasional descending or ascending ladders, stairs and ramps
