Job Overview
As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organization and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations when needed. You may also work with other company products in the stores you service.
Salary and Schedule Details
Your starting hourly pay rate will be $14.00 to $16.00 depending on your skills and experience.
We provide paid training, delivered through live, hands‑on instruction as well as virtual classroom training.
Hallmark part‑time employees are offered voluntary benefits that include medical, dental, vision, etc.
Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
This is a Part‑Time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
Average weekly hours for this position are between 3–9 hours per week.
Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
Your Role and Responsibilities You’ll perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores. The position consists of three major components:
Day‑to‑day engagement: Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, you will restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory inside and outside the Hallmark department. The use of technology is critical for daily work, communication with supervisors, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing required surveys. Professional, courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is essential. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores.
Holiday support: Hallmark’s operations revolve around seasonal demand. Leading up to and following holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, you can expect additional days and extended hours during the week. On occasion you may be required to work on the actual holiday, including weekends.
Department resets: When necessary, you may be part of a team responsible for installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections. Assignments are typically notified two weeks in advance and may include evenings or weekends.
One‑Team Vision: As part of Hallmark’s field organization, you support other team members as needed in their territories.
Physical Requirements The job is physically demanding and requires a high level of energy and urgency. You will work on the sales floor and in back stockrooms, consistently pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying up to 30 pounds, and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You must kneel, squat, walk, stand, and may need to climb stairs and ladders.
Basic Qualifications
You’re at least 18 years of age.
You’re able to read, write, and understand English.
You can grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to operate a digital hand‑held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
Access to a Wi‑Fi network and the internet.
Access to reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
