Overview
The Sales Lead is a role model Bear Builder who also serves as Floor Leader on Duty during designated shifts. In those shifts the Sales Lead directs Bear Builders, models Experience First® behaviors, and focuses on achieving store sales goals. When not on duty, the Sales Lead functions as a Bear Builder.
Responsibilities Floor Leader on Duty
Be a role model to others in providing exceptional Guest service to ensure a memorable experience
Guide, support, and direct a team of associates to ensure smooth store operations and the achievement of sales goals
Model Experience First behaviors
Provide feedback to the management team to make them aware of performance and compliance issues which the CWM and AWM are responsible for addressing
Bear Builder
Provide exceptional Guest service by actively engaging with Guests, using the Experience First Make Behaviors
Create a warm and inclusive atmosphere for Guests, fostering positive interactions, and guaranteeing that each Guest leaves satisfied with their experience
Uphold operational excellence by consistently meeting brand standards and guidelines, ensuring a seamless and cohesive experience for all Guests
Display strong team commitment, being dependable, engaged, and helpful
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Availability to work 15-25 hours per week
Preferred Qualifications
Build‑A‑Bear store associate experience
Associate’s (or higher) degree in business, management, or a related field

Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays

Performance Measurement Your performance will be measured by your ability to support the achievement of store financial goals and compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards which include but are not limited to the following:
Decision‑making, judgment, and execution
Ability to create an Experience First culture for Guests and associates
Achievement of assigned goals
Consistent execution of operational standards
Stakeholder feedback

PAY RANGE: $16.75-$17.25/Hour.
