Self-Pay Patient Account Representative

Physicians’ Primary Care of Southwest Florida is a premier physician‑owned and managed primary care practice with locations in Cape Coral, Fort Myers, and Lehigh Acres. We are currently seeking a Self‑Pay Patient Account Representative to join our Administration team in Fort Myers.
Sample Of Duties
Provides excellent customer service to both our internal and external customers.
Handles calls and correspondence from patients and insurance companies as they relate to self‑pay accounts. Provides prompt resolution to questions or concerns.
Identifies on a daily basis all delinquent accounts and pursues accounts as described in written policies and procedures.
Makes recommendations concerning patient accounts to be written off or turned over for collection.
Monitors work status and maintains productivity within MGMA standards for Patient Account Representatives.
Maintains the strictest confidentiality and adheres to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
Position Requirements
Two years of experience working in a high volume medical office environment.
Great attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
Ability to handle all interactions in a professional, friendly and enthusiastic manner.
Excellent and professional customer service skills.
Knowledge of methods and procedures of health data systems.
