Marketing and Events Specialist

Bell Empire Media & Events, Kemah, TX, United States

Bell Empire Media & Events is looking for a polished, organized, and proactive Marketing and Events Specialist to help support a growing business focused on local advertising, client relationships, community engagement, and signature events.

This hybrid role is ideal for someone who is personable, detail-oriented, confident in communication, and excited to be part of a business that blends marketing, media, relationship-building, and event coordination. The right candidate enjoys working with people, keeping moving parts organized, and helping create meaningful connections between local businesses and the community.

About the Role

Local marketing services for small businesses, including print advertising, digital advertising, and online presence support (SEO, reviews, and AI websites)

Community-driven events and festivals (business networking meetings, Bay Area Breakfast Club, Bourbon and Beer Club, and the Taste of Kemah and Taste of Seabrook festivals)

You’ll work closely with the Publisher to help manage outreach, organize leads, support client communication, assist with social media, and help coordinate event-related efforts.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support

Research local businesses and build organized prospect lists

Make outbound calls and follow up with potential clients

Navigate front-desk contacts and gatekeepers professionally

Set and confirm qualified meetings with business owners and decision‑makers

Keep lead notes, follow‑up timelines, and contact records organized

Assist with client communication and retention follow‑up

Help collect ad materials such as logos, photos, and copy

Support social media coordination for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok

Assist with planning, coordination, and promotion of events and festivals

What We’re Looking For

Strong communication skills, both on the phone and in writing

A professional, upbeat, and confident presence

Experience in sales support, client communication, marketing, or appointment setting

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Comfort working in a fast‑paced, relationship‑driven environment

Ability to multitask and follow through consistently

Social media familiarity and content support experience

Event planning or event coordination experience is a plus

Someone who is polished, dependable, resourceful, and people‑focused

We are also looking beyond the resume. While experience matters, how you interview, how you connect, and how you carry yourself are just as important as what is written on paper. Someone who can read the room, communicate sincerely, make others feel comfortable, and build trust quickly will do very well in this role.

A background in hospitality or the restaurant industry is a major plus. Those environments often build the exact strengths this role requires: reading people well, understanding body language, staying composed under pressure, delivering great customer service, and creating genuine connections with clients, partners, and prospects.

Performance Focus The primary focus of this role is to help generate qualified business opportunities by setting and preparing meetings for the Publisher. The expectation is to set 10 to 15 qualified meetings per week, with 15 meetings per week being the ideal target, while also supporting administrative tasks, follow‑up, client communication, and marketing coordination.

On average, the performance expectation is that 3 to 5 deals per week may close from the meetings that are booked, depending on meeting quality and overall performance.

Compensation This is a 1099 independent contractor role. Traditional employee benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, and other standard benefits are not offered.

Compensation is performance‑driven and uncapped, meaning the amount you earn is directly tied to the number of meetings you set and the amount of business that closes from those meetings.

Compensation includes:

$10 per qualified meeting set

Expected production: 10 to 15 meetings per week

Ideal target: 15 meetings per week

Commission paid every two weeks on closed deals from meetings you book:

$100 for each 1‑year contract

$200 for each 2‑year contract

$300 for each 3‑year contract

Compensation Example

If you set 15 meetings in one week, you would earn $150 in meeting‑based pay.

If 5 of those meetings close, and all 5 are 3‑year contracts, that would equal:

5 closed deals x $300 = $1,500 in bonus/commission income for that week

That would be in addition to the meeting‑based pay.

This role is designed for someone who is motivated by results and excited by the opportunity to grow their income based on performance. There is strong earning potential for someone who is organized, consistent, and confident in outreach.

Work Style

Hybrid position

Must live relatively close to the Clear Lake / Bay Area Houston area

In‑person availability is needed for training, meetings, and event support

Ideal Candidate This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys being part of a growing brand, loves working with people, and wants hands‑on experience in marketing, events, media, client relations, and business development.

If you are someone who is organized, engaging, professional, and excited to help build momentum in a relationship‑driven business, I’d love to connect.
