Customer Service Representative III - Melrose Park, IL
Pay Range: $25.77-$32.21
YOUR ROLE Are you known for providing impeccable service? Are you passionate about managing transportation of goods and meeting the needs of high volume accounts? If so, we have an opportunity that would allow you to work with clients to establish detailed profiles and procedures that best serve their export process. This role primarily focuses on our Air Export division.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Oversee customer’s freight through tracing and tracking. Maintaincontact with the airlines, trucking companies and any agents that will be handling the freight to ensure shipper and consignees are aware of any problems.
Ensure service completion and provide proof of delivery.
Manage customer support by responding to and handling all daily customer air exports service requests. Notify customers of any delays in shipping and dispatching points. Prepare and assist with quotes for customers.
Responds promptly and professionally to customer needs.
Manages complex transactional or emotional customer situations promptly and professionally meeting commitments for service and assistance.
Gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
Balances team and individual responsibilities; exhibits objectivity and openness to others’ views.
Perform various data management tasks - enter shipment data in system; prepare rates and invoice House AirWay Bills; run sales reports, maintainandfile reports.
Process pick-up requestsand enter datain the system.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED; Three to four years related experience. Three to four years industry experience, preferred.
Skills: Intermediateproficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications. Accurate typing skills and/or data entry skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using units of U.S. currency, weight, volume and distance measurements.
Characteristics: Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine correspondence. Responds promptly and professionally to customer needs. Gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
