Kaleidoscope Charter School seeks a Special Education Director for the 2026-2027 school year!
Mon - Fri 7a to 3:30p 200 days per year
Position Summary The Director will provide programmatic and financial oversight of the School's special education programs.
Job Summary
Supervise the special education instructional program and ensure high quality instruction. Monitor programs regarding compliance with all laws, policies, regulations, and guidelines as it relates to special education as mandated by the state of Minnesota and the federal government.
Diligently execute the Statement of Assurances and uphold the Code of Ethics for School Administrators (MN Rule 3512.5200).
Supervise, evaluate, develop, and provide feedback to instructional staff and other members of the school staff to ensure expectations are met.
Ensure students are receiving an appropriate educational experience; consult with staff on students with special education needs.
Assist staff in complying with federal and state rules/regulations in support of educational programming for students with disabilities.
Lead day-to-day operations of the school building, including ensuring compliance and budget monitoring.
Ensure positive relationships between Kaleidoscope and all groups of stakeholders.
Qualifications
Minnesota license as a Director of Special Education and meet the requirements as stated in MN Rule 3512.0200.
Three years of teaching or other licensed school experience.
Past experience and expertise in supervision, preferred.
