Position Summary As a Concierge with WDC Kitchen & Bath Center, you would be responsible for hosting the customer experience by ensuring a welcoming environment and assisting with solutions on current orders. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who is looking to move into sales and enjoys connecting with people in person.
Key Responsibilities
Track and manage the flow of new customers entering the Showroom. Match new customer opportunities to sales staff based on store policy. Answer any new customer assignment disputes.
Using various software to review open orders for accuracy and update orders or customer information if changes occur.
Direct job applicants to fill out the application for current job openings online. Escalate any job verifications or records requests to the Human Resources department.
Perform routine office tasks necessary for the operation and presentation of a professional workplace as observed by the Area Manager.
Assist with clerical tasks to include typing, filing, proofreading, maintenance of system notes, and data entry.
Respond promptly, accurately, professionally, and courteously to telephone calls if Reception is not available. Use all telephone system features for forwarding calls, placing on hold, and checking voicemails.
Record and relay messages to Showroom team members as directed and requested while maintaining professionalism, clarity, and confidentiality.
Engage with customers professionally and courteously, expressing genuine concern for their WDC experience needs. Build rapport with guests of the showroom, customers, vendors, and coworkers.
Manage the refreshment area and take stock to ensure adequate supply.
Offer and serve coffee/refreshments to customers and assist with product demonstrations by preparing samples and offering them to customers.
Promptly greet every person entering the showroom in accordance with WDC Customer Experience guidelines.
Be aware of showroom display standards and report concerns to the appropriate people if an area does not meet these standards related to marketing and pricing.
Ensure that the showroom is consistently tidy and clean, free of dust, and report cleaning or hazard concerns promptly so they can be addressed appropriately.
Lead seasonal store decoration efforts in collaboration with the Area Manager.
Qualifications
2–4 years of experience within a luxury retail, customer service, or similar role.
Proficiency in MS Office.
Good organizational skills.
Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing, and demonstrate strong listening skills.
Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
Ability to change direction as priorities shift and adapt to changing circumstances.
