Trades Specialist - Houston
We’re looking for a Trades Specialist to join our Commercial Construction field sales team in Houston, TX as a virtual employee.
The Job
Achieve top‑line sales targets based on division and local market goals by selling DEWALT PTE, HTAS, STANLEY, LENOX, IRWIN, BOSTITCH, and PORTERCABLE brands to our end‑user customer base.
Establish, develop, and maintain key relationships with end‑user partners through product and service solutions and management of CORE and other SBD user contracts and programs.
Teach and mentor the local market team on end‑user development, including target contacts and purchasing processes.
Partner with Channel Marketing to implement and coordinate marketing initiatives.
Maintain and use Salesforce.com as a CRM and planning tool; communicate successes and failures in a timely manner to improve processes.
The Person
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or related field preferred; relevant construction field experience acceptable.
3+ years of experience in sales or marketing for construction supplies with a proven track record of results; experience selling to senior executives and jobsite directors preferred.
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, problem‑solving, verbal and written communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Ability to blend empathy with determination to achieve outstanding results.
Valid driver’s license and physical ability to travel up to 50% within territory assignment.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.
