Senior Director, Solution Partnerships

What You’ll Do

The Solution Partnerships Senior Director is responsible for identifying, structuring, and executing strategic partnerships that accelerate Duck Creek Technologies’ long‑term growth and strengthen its position within the global insurance technology ecosystem. Operating as a senior individual contributor within the Corporate Development organization, the role translates enterprise strategy into actionable partnership initiatives, leads the end‑to‑end lifecycle of strategic partnerships, and works cross‑functionally with Product, Sales, Legal, Finance, and executive leadership to ensure successful execution and long‑term value creation.

Strategic Partnership Development

Identify, source, and develop strategic partnerships that expand Duck Creek’s ecosystem and strengthen the company’s competitive positioning.

Build and manage a pipeline of partnership opportunities aligned with corporate strategy and growth priorities.

Develop joint value propositions, business cases, and partnership structures that create long‑term enterprise value.

Build strategic relationships that may lead to future acquisitions.

Partner with marketing and professional services to strategically execute Duck Creek’s annual partner summit.

Deal Structuring & Execution

Lead the structuring and negotiation of complex strategic partnerships, including technology integrations, go‑to‑market collaborations, and commercial alliances.

Develop financial models and partnership economics to support deal structuring and executive decision‑making.

Ecosystem & Go‑To‑Market Collaboration

Partner with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to develop joint solutions and go‑to‑market strategies with strategic partners.

Identify opportunities to leverage partners to expand market reach, accelerate product adoption, and drive customer value.

Work with marketing to set solution partner sponsorship goals and support partner activities for Duck Creek’s annual user conference.

Partnership Governance & Performance

Establish success metrics and governance frameworks to measure partnership performance.

Monitor progress against partnership objectives and identify opportunities to expand or optimize strategic alliances.

Ensure compliance with internal governance standards, confidentiality requirements, and regulatory considerations throughout partnership lifecycles.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related discipline.

Minimum of 9 years of applicable experience in corporate development, strategic partnerships, business development, management consulting, or related strategic roles.

Demonstrated success sourcing, structuring, and executing complex strategic partnerships or commercial alliances.

Experience working cross‑functionally within enterprise SaaS or technology organizations.

Preferred Qualifications

Master of Business Administration or equivalent advanced degree.

Experience within enterprise SaaS, insurance technology, or financial services ecosystems.

Experience negotiating complex commercial agreements and strategic alliances.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Behaviors

Deep expertise in strategic partnerships, financial analysis, and capital allocation evaluation.

Strong understanding of partnership structures, due diligence processes, and integration considerations.

Ability to translate enterprise strategy into rigorous financial frameworks and actionable business cases.

Strong executive presence and clear communication to influence senior leadership.

Capacity to manage multiple complex workstreams with organizational discipline.

Work Environment & Other Requirements

Travel: up to 25%
