
Print/Textile Designer
Show Me Your Mumu, Los Angeles, CA, United States
The position focuses on print/textile design, scale sizing and original coloring of all custom Mumu prints. Categories including main collection, bridal, collaborations, denim, kids & swim. This role is hybrid and may work 1-2 days remotely each week. Candidates must be within commuting distance of the Mumu HQ in Downtown Los Angeles.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Works independently to edit purchase prints - adding graphic elements using illustrator and photo shop, re-coloring and re-sizing of print and print repeats
Organizes and pulls pantone chip selection alongside Designers
Packages all files with all necessary elements for initial send out to print vendors
Tracks print development with outside vendors to ensure smooth development and consistent timelines in conjunction with internal calendar
Daily communication with vendors regarding improvements and problem-solving regarding printing techniques
Creates exclusive and original artwork from scratch as needed
Follows design calendar to ensure all development timelines are met for strike off approvals
Manages and updates internal print tracker or WIP daily, in order to update creatives on weekly progress
Works independently with cross-functional teams including the raw materials team for proper execution of production finished goods
Works closely with the raw materials developer to ensure proper printing techniques
Creates artwork specification sheets for vendors to follow as guidelines
Directs the execution of print placements by working with pattern teams to ensure proper execution per style

QUALIFICATIONS
Comfortable in working in a fast-paced environment, flexible in changing direction as needed
Familiar and comfortable working in Adobe Suites Apps- specifically Illustrator
Must be able to execute CAD illustrations in Adobe Illustrator
PC literate with basic understanding and skills in using keyboard and Microsoft office products
Candidate must be highly organized with ability to prioritize with a sense of urgency and be a team player
Must have experience in measuring garments and garment construction
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Minimum 7-10 years’ experience working as an in-house print designer
Bachelor’s or Associate degree in graphic or print design
Dynamic analytical, problem solving and project management abilities- must be a self starter
Flexibility with regards to job responsibilities
Knowledge with MS Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
Knowledge with Adobe applications- Photoshop & Illustrator
Able to work and think independently as well as part of a team.
Excellent follow-through and attention to detail
COMPENSATION $45/hr To $50/hr (DOE) Depending on Experience
